To get there, you can take a bus, train or a private taxi to reach Halong Bay from Hanoi.

Day 4: Take a hike through the rice fields of Sapa

For those looking for a bigger adventure during their Vietnam trip, you can take a hike through Sapa’s ricefields. It’s also known as the Tonkinese Alps and lies near the Chinese border in northwestern Vietnam.

Sapa is famous both for its unspoiled rugged scenery and for its rich cultural diversity. During your trek, don’t miss the Tha Bac (Silver) waterfall, Ham Rong Mountain, Rattan Bridge, Bamboo Forest, and Ta Phin Cave!

To reach Sapa, you can either take a five-hour private sleeper bus ride that leaves at night or take a nine-hour overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Chai, and then a bus for 45 minutes more from Lao Chai City.

There are many places to visit in Vietnam, and Ninh Bình should definitely be one of them. Here, you will find valleys, caves, and limestone mountains. You can go through the caves and go cruising around the stunning views of Vietnam.
