Itinerary Leh
Day 1 Arrive in Leh
Activities:Arrive Kushok Bakula airport Leh – 3500 meters above sea level. Transfer to hotel. Have breakfast at the hotel before 09.30 am and take the day to for acclimatization. Walk around the streets in the evening and shop in the local market.
Day 2 Explore Leh City
Activities:After breakfast leave early morning at 8 am, drive to Hall of Fame (Run by the Indian Army), then visit Spituk Monastery 11th Century monastery. Drive towards Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill and Indus Zanskar meeting point. Spend this day to explore the Leh City and Monasteries around Leh.
Day 3 Leave for Nubra Valley Today
Activities:After breakfast drive to Nubra via Khardungla (Highest Motorable Road in the world,18380 ft). Arrive at Hunder by afternoon, take a rest. Post lunch get ready to explore Diskit, Hunder Villages and Camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Diskit and Hunder Village. Nubra is know to be one of the best places for stargazing.
Day 4 Turtuk: Visit the Last Village on Indian Border
Activities:One of the most fascinating journeys in Ladakh this is a less popular destination recently opened for tourists, if you have a thirst for a beautiful location, this is the place.
Day 5 Leave for Pangong Tso Via Shyok River Route
Activities:Drive to Pangong via Shyok valley ,this region actually comprises two valleys: Nubra and Shyok. Both their rivers rise amidst the remote and heavily glaciated peaks and trough of the Karakoram Range. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of Pangong Lake while appreciating the changing colors and fascinating high altitude of the lake.Overnight stay at the camp.Overnight at Pangong Lake camp.
Day 6 Head back to Leh from Pangong Tso via Chang-la Pass
Activities:After breakfast start drive to Leh, enroute visiting Thiksey Palace, Hemis Monastery and Rancho School.
Day 7 Depart from Leh
Activities:Warning, Ask your friends to share all the pictures they have taken, before everyone gets busy in their regular schedules
